Varietyville: Halloween at LA Comedy Connection
One year ago when the moon was alight, Varietyville planned a show on Halloween night. A ghastly gathering, one monstrous meeting, where they could invite everyone too old for trick-or-treating. Neighbors, spirits, and all of their fans… and those with great costumes without any great plans.
There was comedy and music and magic abound… then suddenly their host could no longer be found. In Austin’s place stood his cousin, a trouble-creator. That swamp magic horror host they call Trader Gator. With a wide wicked grin, Gator laughed and he lied, all with his mutant-son, Milton, close by his side. Hypnotizing the audience was their very goal, until a singing scarecrow found Milton has a soul.
So Milton saved the day, Austin gave Gator a whack, but somehow, someday Trader Gator swore he’d come back… And back he will be, lurking for YOU, on All Hallow’s Eve at Varietyville-O-Ween Part Two!
Visit Varietyville on Halloween night for the return of Trader Gator – and of course his mutant son, Milton. When Mayor of Varietyville Austin Walker realized he would miss our annual Halloween celebration, his cousin, late night horror host Trader Gator, offered to make up for his first villainous visit to Varietyville by filling in as host…that’s what family is for, after all!
Varietyville-O-Ween Part II will feature a very special OFFICIAL SCREENING of Color Classics’ cartoon “The Cobweb Hotel” courtesy of Fleischer Studios and Rockin Pins! The magical Cassandra Ruiz will join us, along with Psychic Buster the Eccentric Mentalist, plus legendary character actor M.C. Gainey (Lost, Con Air, Django Unchained), and the talented Ricky Chavez with his puppets. You’ll see sketches by The Varietyvillians (Cait Bidwell, Suzanne Nichols, Chad Fisher, and Nayla Savannah), and hear music from The Varietyville Pickers (Alan Rigoletto and Fiddlin’ Tom Hanslowe).
Wear your best costume for your chance to win ghoulish giveaways with our COSTUME CONTEST! If you’re looking for an alternative to trick-or-treating on Halloween night featuring freaky fun and shocking surprises, join Trader Gator and all your Varietyville pals at the LA Connection Comedy Theater in Burbank for Varietyville-O-Ween Part II!
