Staged Reading of “Four Women Talking About the Man Under the Sheet”
This month the Victory Theatre in Burbank celebrates its 46th birthday. What better way to do so than with the first California reading of a brand new play, Four Women Talking About the Man Under the Sheet, a funny and timely historical comedy by Elaine Jarvik.
February 21, 1895, the morning after the unexpected death of Fredrick Douglas, Susan B. Anthony arrives, unannounced, at the home of his widow. Soon after, Douglas’s daughter from his first marriage arrives…
Who’s under the sheet? Why are the women talking about him? What are they saying?
Yes, it’s a comedy and I guarantee you will be entertained.
