Second Saturday Jazz ft. Angela O’Neill & the Outrageous8 with Franny McCartney

Second Saturday Jazz ft. Angela O’Neill, Outrageous8 with Franny McCartney
4349 Tujunga Avenue
Nov 8 from 1pm to 3pm PST
Get ready to swing into your Saturday with an unforgettable afternoon of big band jazz, outrageous energy, and iconic tunes—presented by Angela O’Neill & the Outrageous8, now celebrating 10 years of swingin’!
This month’s guest vocalist is Franny McCartney. Born and raised in Brooklyn, McCartney brings a lifetime of stage experience and star-studded collaborations to Angela O’Neill and the Outrageous8. Her career began with a recording contract under Casablanca Records before touring the world alongside legends including Bob Dylan, Barbra Streisand, Luther Vandross, Tanya Tucker, and Glen Campbell. A highlight of her journey was performing on Broadway as one of Bette Midler’s beloved Harlettes—a role that helped define her signature mix of powerhouse vocals and radiant showmanship.
Today, Franny continues to enchant audiences as a solo artist and member of the Randy Van Horne Singers (of Flintstones fame), bringing her soulful voice and sparkling wit to stages across the country. From the American Songbook to opera, Franny’s performances overflow with joy, humor, and heart—making her the perfect guest vocalist for this month’s Second Saturday Jazz celebration.
The Outrageous8 features an all-star lineup of LA’s top musicians, including custom arrangements by Harry Smallenburg and Rocky Davis, and music direction by Sam Morgan, son of touring legend David Morgan (Three Dog Night). From Grammy-winning sidemen to jazz veterans who’ve played with The Rolling Stones, Cher, and the Honeydrippers—this group brings heat, history, and serious chops to the stage.
Angela O’Neill, a UCLA Theater Arts alum and former classical oboist, has produced hundreds of shows with The Outrageous8. A versatile performer, she’s sung jazz, country, and rock, and currently sings with multiple 18-piece big bands. Angela is also the driving force behind Outrageous8 Records, which she launched five years ago, producing six albums for the band and additional projects for bandmates Paul Litteral and Ron Cyger.
Please note that there is a $35 food and beverage minimum at the venue on the day of the event.
