Presented by Back Up Plan Productions

When the world told us to have a backup plan, we made one—with a camera, a script, and a mission. In this panel, Alison Whitney and Natasha Goss of Back Up Plan Productions share how they’ve turned their unapologetically personal storytelling into brand-aligned opportunities.

Learn how to authentically present yourself to potential sponsors so they’re not just investing in a project—they’re investing in you. We’ll dive into identifying brands that share your values, crafting a compelling pitch deck, building cohesive social platforms, and budgeting with intention.

Alison Whitney is an all-around hustler! She acts, writes, produces and raises two young humanettes in LA.
Born and raised in New York, Alison went on to graduate from NYU’s prestigious Tisch School of the Arts: BFA in Acting. She works consistently in film/television with credits such as: Chicago Med, American Housewife, Black-ish, Superstore, Physical. Alison wrote, produced and starred in two award-winning web series. She is an on-going contributor to The Catalyst Story Institute with her series First Child Problems. Her series, Common Charges, was screened at many festivals and awarded Best Acting in a Web Series: Hollywood & Vine Festival 2014. Alison has gone on to utilize her unique comedic voice to normalize issues surrounding women’s health.

Natasha Goss
From the age of 3, Natasha wanted to be an actor and a mother. And that is exactly what she became. She is married with an incredible 10-year-old son and is very much an actor. Natasha grew up all over the world – South Africa, Australia, and the US—finally landing in Los Angeles. She studied Creative Arts at the University of Wollongong in Australia, later graduating from the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. Her career spans a wide array of projects, from popular TV shows like Lost and Modern Family, to a mix of independent and studio films, most recently appearing in SAW X. She also co-created and starred in two web series that are currently streaming, and is excited to be producing and starring in a new film The Hole Truth for Back Up Plan Productions.
