Experience the dazzling artistry of violinist Phillip Levy and pianist Tae Yeon Lim as they open the Salit Foundation’s Encore Concert Series with an unforgettable evening of chamber music.

Together, they bring a wealth of international experience and artistry to the stage, captivating audiences with performances filled with depth, precision, and passion.

Phillip Levy, hailed by the San Francisco Chronicle as “the top classical performer of 1995,” has performed at prestigious festivals worldwide, including Spoleto, Bayreuth, Edinburgh, Tokyo, and Aspen. A recipient of numerous awards, he has collaborated with legends such as Sir Yehudi Menuhin, Iona Brown, Neville Marriner, and Lynn Harrell. A former concertmaster of the Monterey Symphony Orchestra and faculty member at Stanford University, he now leads the Capitol Ensemble in Los Angeles and has performed on over a thousand movie soundtracks, including Star Wars, E.T., Frozen, and Avatar.

Tae Yeon Lim is known for her powerful and expressive performance style, combining virtuosity with deep musical insight. Originally from South Korea, she made her orchestral debut at 11 and has since performed internationally across Asia, Europe, and the United States. A winner of the Busan Duo-Piano Competition, she studied at the Manhattan School of Music and earned her D.M.A. from USC Thornton School of Music. Her work includes the world premiere recording of Joachim Raff’s Sonata for Piano and Cello (Op. 183) and performances with Los Angeles Sinfonietta and Vicente Chamber Orchestra, where she also serves as Assistant Conductor.
