Burbank Film Festival Preview at the Buena Vista Library

Preview the exciting events and film highlights coming to the 2025 Burbank International Film Festival.

All preview event attendees will receive a free ticket to either one of the festival’s feature film screenings or one of the short film screening blocks.
The President of the Burbank International Film Festival, Anna McNiven, will be joined by BIFF Board Member / Burbank Cultural Arts Commissioner Eric Conner to highlight how the festival curates its lineup, supports filmmakers in making industry connections and offers volunteer/internship opportunities.
Multiple filmmakers from 2025’s festival will be featured at the preview event to discuss their projects, including:
Writer/Producer Mark Dylan Brown, Producer Cynthia Gravenese & Director Mitch Yapko – “Watching Walter”
A short biopic set in both 1995 Philadelphia and World War II Nazi-occupied Poland. Starring Stephen Trobowsky (Ned Ryerson from “Groundhog Day” amongst MANY other roles).
Producer Gino Gaudio – “The Legacy of Tony Gaudio”
A feature-length documentary about the life and work of the legendary cinematographer behind Errol Flynn’s “The Adventures of Robin Hood” and Howard Hughes’ “Hell’s Angels.”
Writer / Director Michelle Celine Kuenzler – “Sequoia”
The story of an AI,1950s-style maid who gains sentience and embarks on a dangerous quest for truth in an idyllic small town.
The festival runs from September 23 – 28, 2025 with all screenings held at the AMC 16 Theaters and industry panels at Burbank’s Hollywood Production Center.
Quentin Tarantino will be honored during this year’s festival with BIFF’s Vanguard Award at the closing night gala / award ceremony
