Bio: “Scent of Magnolia Park” illustrates a large, graphic Magnolia painted to look like woodblock prints. The design is special to the artist as it highlights the street name Magnolia as well as Aña’s neighborhood, Magnolia Park.

The simplicity of block prints was thought to be a good fit for the scale and readability of a Utility Box “canvas”. Aña loves the vintage grandeur that Magnolias conjure up and presenting them with a muted single tone background felt elegant and timeless. Her view on public art is that it provides an opportunity to see beauty while it enriches us. She also stresses that everyone should have access to art in their neighborhood.
