Bio:  Its title, “Elements of Art” represents the entertainment industry in the City of Burbank. “Burbank 818” is written lightheartedly in abstract, graphical letterforms, which are created with overlapping geometric shapes. The vibrant colors are inspired by the SMPTE color bars. The star symbolizes the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the heart represents the passion for entertainment. Laishan is a graphic designer and a pen and ink scientific illustrator. In her work, she likes to experiment with traditional mediums and in digital formats. Through art and design, she strives to provoke positive emotions with visual communication.
