Bio: “Books of Burbank” celebrates Burbank’s local authors. Riley’s mural was a stack of books, adorned with vibrant designs inspired by our town’s local creators. Writers have been inspired by Burbank and have expressed their unique perspective in fiction, plays, essays and more, so it is important to celebrate and share these memories. The way Riley shared this concept was by using bright colors to attract kids in the neighborhood in hopes to inspire them to read–especially locally.

Riley believes that their piece is memorable as it reflects the town’s writers who too have made a memorable impact with their works. The artist believes that art can be memorable as the stories they tell can make people smile or create a space where people bring their friends.
