SUMMARY:Burbank Central Library - Community Workshop & Library Tour
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a Community Workshop and Library Tour to discuss ideas\, priorities\, and needs for a potential new Burbank Central Library\nand Public Plaza! We need your input to create a space that reflects the Burbank community. \nCOMMUNITY WORKSHOP AND LIBRARY TOUR\nWednesday\, October 29\, 2025 6:00-8:00 PM\nBurbank Central Library \nA future Burbank Central Library and Public Plaza project is being proposed as a transformative opportunity to meet community needs while building a thriving downtown neighborhood in a sustainable and fiscally responsible way. The project proposes a new vibrant public plaza and improved Central Library\, and replaces the Administrative Services Building offices in downtown Burbank. \nThe City of Burbank has been awarded a grant of $9.95 million from the California State Library to fund a new\, modern Central Library. The funds will be put towards building features that support sustainability\, accessibility\, and resilience. \nA prospective new library would replace the current space\, a 60-year-old building that is limited by its age and condition in supporting the Burbank community’s needs in education\, workforce development\, social services\, technology training\, and access to information and culture. \nPlanning for a future new Burbank Central Library and Public Plaza is underway with community outreach beginning in October 2025. \nExplore this site to find the latest project updates and learn more about the new Burbank Central Library & Public Plaza Project. \nIf you would like to participate in the Central Library tour\, please RSVP through our link: bit.ly/BurbankLibraryTour\nTo learn more about the potential new Burbank Library and Public Plaza project\, visit NewBurbankLibrary.com or email burbankpubliclibrary@burbankca.gov.
