SUMMARY:I'll Give You My Heart at the Colony Theatre
DESCRIPTION:A NEW ROMANTIC COMEDY\nFive years after her fiancé is killed on their wedding day\, a traumatized young woman fights to keep her promise to never leave him\, while protecting her grief-stricken heart from opening for a familiar stranger. \nAbout the Show:\nCharlotte (Charlie) and Ben are destined to be together. At eight years old Ben tells Charlie he’s going to marry her. The pink tulip he gives her that day\, pressed in her diary\, is a promise of their forever love. But it isn’t meant to be. On the morning of their wedding\, Ben’s car is involved in a fatal head-on collision. When Charlie arrives at the scene\, still in her wedding dress\, Ben is pronounced dead. She begs the EMTs to continue CPR. Miraculously\, Ben’s heart starts beating and he’s rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately\, Ben doesn’t regain consciousness and dies in front of Charlie. Devastated\, Charlie swears she’ll never fall in love again. For the next five years\, she has no desire to meet anyone new. The ghost of her fiancé\, Ben\, is always with her. Then\, at a chance meeting at work\, Charlie meets Sam. From the moment they meet\, there’s an instant connection. Something about Sam feels familiar\, comfortable\, that draws Charlie to him. Charlie starts to have feelings she hasn’t allowed herself to feel since Ben’s death. But Charlie can’t forget her promise to Ben – her promise to never leave him – even when the ghost of Ben urges her to move on.
