The Video Production Department at Burbank High Schools offers a wide range of opportunities for students. The all digital environment prepares all students for success in the commercial world of film, television and multimedia. Learning advanced camera techniques for quality productions is the first step in professional development that all children utilize before editing process begins with Adobe Premiere. Moreover, the inclusion of music and sound effects create the realistic environments that make for quality video productions. Upon completion of filming and editing students can enhance production with the application of special effects and compositing using green screen technology using Adobe After Effects. Students are encouraged to enter film festivals across the country and many BHS video production students have gone on to continued learning at public and private institutions for film production and are currently employed at small and large production studios.
