Pam McDonald
Watercolor Instructor

Cultural Artists Spotlight: February 6 – February 19, 2019

Can you tell us a little bit about what you do?
I am a watercolorist. I love to paint a variety of subjects: animals, landscapes, faces, are just a few. I’ve also recently been painting with Alcohol Ink and working that into my paintings. I love to try anything new that I read about. I’m a Watercolor instructor at the Betsy Lueke Creative Arts Center and I have a true passion for teaching others and sharing my love for art.

How did you first become interested in art?
I have been drawing or painting my whole life.

How can art enrich a community, and what are some ways people can become engaged with art in Burbank?
I love the student art shows that we have in Burbank, from primary to high school. I believe it’s important to publicize the student exhibits to the public so they too can appreciate them as art is an important form of expression. I’ve been a judge for the student show and have seen firsthand that we have some very talented students in Burbank.

If you could share with our community one thing about art, what would it be?
The above statement sums it up!
